Yvonne "Janie" Norton

JANIE NORTON Tupelo - Yvonne "Janie" Norton, 68, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice. A native of Lee County, she was born February 13, 1946, to Bud and Anna Doris Hendrix Culver. For over 20 years, she lived in California with a career in the music industry. She was an avid Elvis fan and had a large collection of Elvis memorabilia plates. She also collected Little House on the Prairie plates. She loved her dogs and enjoyed caring for them, along with neighborhood dogs. She was a member of Harrisburg Baptist Church where she attended until her health failed. Stateroom services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors, Tupelo with Rev. Sammy Hardin officiating. Burial will be in Gray's Cemetery She is survived by her mother, Anna Doris Culver of Tupelo. Her father preceeds her in death. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
