Vonnie Cooper
TUPELO - Vonnie Cooper, 90, died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, at Graceland Care Center in Oxford after an extended illness. A Mississippi native she was born March 19, 1916, to the late Ed and Liza Gregory Brown. She owned and operated the Vonae Beauty Shop in Tupelo for 25 years. She was a member of the Tupelo Free Will Baptist Church and the Grace Sunday School Class.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Terry Pierce officiating. Private graveside services will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include one daughter, Regina Symons (Joseph) of Oxford; one granddaughter, Susan May (Robert); and one great-grandson, Ethan May, all of Germantown, Tenn.; and a special niece, Denese Camp (Bobby) of Tupelo.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
