Wylma Rose Ommen

Tupelo " Wylma Rose Ommen, 71, died Friday, May 08, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. A South Dakota native, she was born February 25, 1938 to the late Floyd Cecil Paige and Jennie Carolyn Palmer Paige, later adopted and raised by Harry Hutten. After attending Lerreto Heights in Denver, Colorado, she then went on to graduate from McKennan Hospital School of Nursing in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. For over twenty years she was employed as a Registered Nurse for the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where she loved singing in the choir. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 11, 2009 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Richard Kreitenstein officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her mother, Jennie Hutten, of Aberdeen, South Dakota; two daughters, Pamela Kay Fancher and husband, Mark Allen, of Mooreville, Patricia Lynn Mueser and husband , Daniel John, of Cashmere, Washington; two sisters, Kay Remiley and husband, Clarence of Aberdeen, South Dakota, Marion Forrester and husband, Loy, of Nebraska; two brothers, Anthony Hutten and wife, Cheryl, of Clayton, North Carolina, Richard Hutten and wife, Kathleen, of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Martin Fancher and wife, Lisha, Christine Fancher, Ashley Nicole Mueser,, Alexander David Mueser; one great grandchild, Christian Fancher.

She was preceded in death by her father Floyd Paige; stepfather,Harry Hutten; her husband, Keith Ommen; and one son, David Eric Ommen.

Pallbearers will be Martin Fancher, Cameron Webb, Caleb Fancher, James Fancher, Alexander Meuser, and Glenn Benfield.

Visitation will be 6 " 9 p.m. Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
The Body will lie In State at the church on Monday, one hour prior to services.

Memorials may be to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Tupelo.
