Wilson Bud Foote, Jr., 84, died September 2, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. A native of Amory, he was born January 31, 1934 to Wilson and Margie Foote. On March 7, 1959, he married Shirley Dodson. Early in life, he proudly served his country in the United States Army stationed in Panama as a Military Police Officer. Later in life, he worked as a traveling salesman. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and playing pool.
Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years; five children, Brenda Graham of Algoma, Linda Jackson of Mooreville, Lisa Rodgers (Tommy) of Tupelo, Livia Scott of Guntown and Wilson B. Foote, III (Alma) of Tupelo; three sisters, Doris Walters of Greenville, Joanne Luke of Meridian and Peggy Buse of Tupelo; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services honoring his life will be 1 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Boguefala Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
