Lane City, TexasWilson "Dick Causey, 88, died Sunday, June 11, at his daughters residence. An Arkansas native, he was born December 3, 1917, to the late Steve and Ruby Harlow Causey. He had been a resident of Shannon. He worked as a carpenter, a truck driver, and was also a farmer. He served in the U.S. Navy. He attended Lane City Baptist Church in Texas.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Shannon Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Tackett officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three children, Lorene Gajewsky and husband, Daniel, of Lane City, Tex.; Wilson Causey, Jr., of Belden, and Betty Faye Taylor, of Plantersville; five sisters and brothers, Willie Mae Maxwell of Tupelo, Ida Devaughn of Skyline, Lavell Markam of Shannon, Jimmy Causey of Amory and Taylor Causey of Nettleton; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, George "Bub Causey; and three brothers, Frank Causey, Charles Causey, and Buck Causey.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
