WILLIE MAE JOBE



Temple Grove - Willie Mae Jobe, 90, died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at the Golden Living Center after a lengthy illness. A Lee County native, she was born September 24, 1922 to Willie Ed and Ethel Rhudy Edwards. She retired in quality control from Reed's Manufacturing with 24 years of service. Her main mission in life was serving others. She loved sewing, quilting, crochecting and gardening. She was active in the Ladies Auxillary with the V.F.W. and the Disabled American Veterans. She wanted her family to remember her for the love she had for them. She was a member of Temple Grove Baptist Church.



Services will be 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jerry Estes officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.



Survivors include three daughters, Mary Christopher (David) of the Brewer Community, Kay Sheffield of Tupelo, and Jennett Ruth Rochester of Cordova, Tenn.; one brother, John Edwards of Plantersville; seven grandchildren, Melissa Christopher, Jimmy Christopher (Tina), Lana Rea (Chip), Kevin Nichols, Luke Sheffield, Ian Rochester,and Kate Rochester; eight great-grandchildren, Josh Pitts, Julie Manscoe, and Wesley, Seth, Grant, and Emilee Christopher; two great-great grandchildren, Isabella Manscoe and Thrista Manscoe, and two special friends, Mary Gunn and Shirley Jackson.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. "Peanut" Jobe; one son-in-law, Dave Rochester; one great-granddaughter, Krista Pitts; three sisters, Lucille Alred, Louise Parker and Bobbie Jean Clark.



Pallbearers will be Jimmy Christopher, Luke Sheffield, Ian Rochester, Seth Christopher, Wesley Christopher and Chip Rea.



Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the funeral home.
