Willie Mae Clark
TUPELO - Willie Mae Clark, 84, died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006, at the Sanctuary Hospice House after a brief illness. A native of Lee County, she was born April 21, 1922, to the late Marion M. and Margaret Ann Bryant Bratton. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was an avid gardener. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, devoting her time to her family and friends.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with testimonies given by family and friends. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include three daughters, Mavis Kennedy (Wayne) of Talladega, Ala., Jennifer Clark Poole of Tupelo and Darla Turan (Ed) of Caledonia; one son, Bobby Clark (Marianne) of Ormond Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Tracy Bunch (Michael) of Atlanta, Ga., Mike Kennedy (Heather) of Birmingham, Alan Kennedy (Amy) of Brandon, Theresa Clark, Paula Clark Nysart (Dave) of Gaithersburg, Md., John Clark Poole, Harrison Poole and Sarah Grace Poole of Tupelo; great-grandchildren, Katie and Christopher Bunch of Atlanta, Lauren and Matt Kennedy of Brandon, Cole and Samantha Kennedy of Birmingham, Timothy Berry of Gaithersburg, Md.; one brother, James Elmer Bratton of Memphis.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Clyde A. "C.A." Clark.
Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo or the Mississippi Lions Sight Foundation in Jackson.
