WILLIE CALDWELL Shannon - Willie Frances "Ne Naw" "Ms. Willie" Caldwell, 90, died Sunday, June 16, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a lengthy illness. A Tupelo native, she was born September 2, 1922, to Frank and Saphronia McCollough West. She worked for Sarah's Outlet and was a long time Avon Representative. She is the widow of Stanley Caldwell who preceded her in death January 31, 1980. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed singing gospel music, cooking, watching TV and was a great conversationalist. She was a member of Oak Valley Christian Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Dale Carr, Rev. Danny Horton and Rev. Zack Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Brewer Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Frank Caldwell (Anita) of the Old Union Community; one daughter, Sarah Sullivan of the Old Union Community; five grandchildren, Alec Caldwell, Darrell Caldwell (Jennifer), Harrell Caldwell, Jennifer Sullivan and Chad Caldwell (Maggie); four great-grandchildren, Scott Caldwell, Zack Caldwell (Courtney), Troy Roberson and Cohen Caldwell; one step-great-grandchild, Gracie Atwood; one daughter-in-law, Peggy Caldwell of the Old Union Community; two sister-in-laws, Linda West of Verona and Janetta West of Oxford. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Carroll Caldwell; three brothers, Virgil, Ray and Ed West. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons, Darrell, Harrell, Alec, Chad, Scott and Zack Caldwell. Honorary pallbearers will be Cohen Caldwell, Troy Roberson, Walter Trice, Homan McFarling and Dr. Jimmy Hamilton. Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Camp Bluebird, 990 S. Madison St., Suite 1 Tupelo, MS 38801.
