Billy Howard
TUPELO - William H. "Billy" Howard, 76, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2006, at his residence in Tupelo. Born Sept. 19, 1929, in Birmingham, Alabama, he was raised in Columbus, the son of the late H.D. and Martha Lois Jacobs Howard. During the Korean War he served as a Master Sergeant in the Army and was later commissioned as a Lieutenant in the National Guard. He was a longtime member of the staff of Weatherall's Office Supplies where he served as vice-president. He was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Tupelo Kiwanis Club.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Dr. Bryant Barnes officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Sue Berryhill Howard of tupelo; a daughter, Angie Howard of Tupelo; one sister, Gwen Hildreth of Tupelo; one brother, Nelson Howard and is wife, Jimmie, of Columbus; two grandchildren, Katie and Chelsea.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today.
