William Vance Cullum, 89, left his earthly home on Friday, March 16, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Lee County May 8, 1928, to Frank and Minnie Cullum and was their last surviving child. He was a former employee of Mid-South Packers and had worked for a number of years at Penn Tire until they closed. Before his decline in health, he enjoyed fishing and hanging out with his buddies at the lake. Vance was an active member of Hebron United Methodist Church until his health failed.
Survivors include one son, Donald Cullum and his wife, Diane; two daughters, Rachel Keith and her husband, Butch and Janie Davis; six grandchildren, Derek Keith, Allison Rowan and her husband, Kevin, Twila Smith, Robin Carter and her husband, Bart, Nathan Cullum and his wife, Jennae, and Cassidy Cullum; seven great-grandchildren, Rhett Stegall, McKinley Stegall, Autumn Kelly, Victoria Keith, Gage Keith, Breanna Keith and Bryson Carter; one step granddaughter, Cindy Pierce; one step great-grandson, Scotty Carter; and two special friends, Aubrey Harris and Wayne "Mutt" Mallett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Pearl Lloyd, Grace Morgan and Winnie Pope; and one brother, Frank Cullum.
Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2018, at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2018, at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Truman Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Rhett Stegall, Derek Keith, James Robbins, Buddy Williams, Nathan Cullum and Tim Smith.
