Willard Dill

August 20, 1930 — December 1, 2008

Tupelo - Willard Jean Dill, 78, died Monday, December 1, 2008, at The Sanctuary Hospice House after an extended illness. A Tishomingo County native, she was born August 20, 1930 to Dewey and Mattie Wadkins Sanders. A longtime resident of Saltillo, she enjoyed her church, family, and watching T.V. She was the widow of Beland Dill, Jr. and a member of Hebron United Methodist Church.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will be in Saltillo Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Lana Young and husband, Randy, of Saltillo; three brothers, Rev. Carl Sanders and wife, Dicy, of Pensacola, Fla., Mitchell Sanders and wife, Shirley, and John Sanders and wife, Flora, all of Saltillo; six sisters-in-law, Shirley Sanders and Norma Sanders, both of the Hebron Community, Myrtle Lindsey and husband, Arthur, Laura Turner and husband, Joe, Arlene Hall, all of Saltillo, and Joyce Ridgeway and husband, Billy, of Verona; one brother-in-law, James Dill and wife, Linda, of Saltillo; one grandson, Darren Hall and wife, Mary, of Baldwyn; two great-grandchildren, Amy Hall of Saltillo and Aaron Hall of Saltillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Beland Dill, Jr.; three brothers, Joe Pitman, Tom Sanders, and Dewey Sanders; and a great-grandson, Bobby Hall.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Keith Sanders, Andy Ray Sanders, and Tyrone Sanders.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at the funeral home.
