Saltillo - William Gerald Stevens Jr., 30, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at the result of an automobile accident in Saltillo. He was born June 6, 1975, to William Gerald Stevens Sr. and Joan Cummins. He was team leader for Dixie Electric Co. in Tupelo and a Baptist. He was a graduate of Saltillo High School, Class of 1994. He loved his children, playing his guitar and playing horse shoes.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with the Rev. John Stevens officiating. Burial wil be in the Fellowship Cemetery.
Survivors include two children, Layla Brook Stevens of Pontotoc and Isaac McClain Stevens of Saltillo; one sister, Elizabeth Campbell and Matt of Guntown; two brothers, Justin Stevens and Paul Cummins, both of Tupelo; his father, William Gerald Stevens Sr. and Sandra of Tupelo; his mother, Joan Cummins of Kosciusko; his grandparents, A.W. and Burie Stevens of Tupelo.
Pallbearers will be Brian Long, Mike Harris, Chuck Pyle, Barron Rodgers, James Castle and Scotty Daniels. Honorary pallbearers were Gregory Vinson, Kenny Jeter, Willie Brown, Joe Campbell, Mike Cameron, Charles Pyle and Matthew Petigo.
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. until service time today.
