WAYNE STEVENS

Tupelo - Gerald Wayne Stevens, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born February 13, 1944, to James Roland and Zera Stevens. He served in the United State Navy. Wayne was a painter by trade for over 40 years. He enjoyed sharing stories about his travels with his friends and family. Wayne loved spending time with his grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed playing dominos. Wayne was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Wes Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Nations. Survivors include his children, Lisa Stevens of Gainesville, Texas, Mike Stevens and wife, Leslie of Long View, Jesse Stevens of Tupelo and Kylie Hannah of Nettleton; grandchildren, Kayla Stevens, Sierra Hall, Bo Hall, Justin Stevens, Haley Kocherhans, Ashley Reeves, Trey Stevens, Alexander Stevens, and Bradley Stevens; great grandchildren, Case Stevens and Addy Stevens. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, James Romey Stevens. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin, Trey, Alexander and Bradley Stevens, Bo Hall and a great grandson, Case Stevens. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at W.
