Hoyle Cook
MOOREVILLE - Hoyle Cook, 78, died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at the North Miss. Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Lee County to William Walter Cook and Bertha Smith Cook. He was a graduate of Itawamba Agriculture High School and attended Mississippi State University. He was retired as a security guard for Cooper Tire where he was a long time employee. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Eggville Church of Christ. He was an avid outdoorsman.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Castor Buse officiating assisted by Elbert Turner Jr. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Betty Hester Cook; one daughter, Rhonda Aust and husband, Randy, of Hoover, Ala.; two sisters, Lillian Knight Brown and husband, Lawson, and Lanette Pollock and husband, Owen, all of Mantachie; one brother, W. C. Cook and wife, Margie, of Tupelo; three grandchildren, Catherine, Daniel and Thompson.
Pallbearers will be Tony Thompson, Ricky Thompson, David Brown, Herman Farrar and John Marvin Smith.
