W. C. MOORE, SR. Auburn Community - Willis Cleveland "W. C." Moore, Sr., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 23, 2014. W. C. was born at home in Philadelphia on June 27, 1939. He grew up in Edinburg and attended school at Laurel Hill. W. C. married the former Janet Kay Wheeler in 1957. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren. W. C. was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all. A celebration of life service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 25, 2014, at Auburn Baptist Church in Tupelo with Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. A second service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Pine Grove Church of God in Carthage. Burial will be Saturday in Ebenezer Cemetery in Carthage. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. W. C. is survived by his children, Betty Ann Moore Watkins (William "Bear") of Tupelo, Willis "Buster" Moore of Greenville and Robert "Bobby" Moore (Wanda) of Walls; grandchildren, Jason Kyle of Tupelo, Trey Moore of Greenville, Tanner Watkins (Jamie) of Tupelo, Tabitha Vaughn of Greenville, Mallorey Scott of Cleveland, Tyler Moore and Dylan Hamilton of Tupelo; great-grandchildren, Kameron Kyle, Kayden Kyle of Tupelo, Landon Vaughn and Madelyn Vaughn of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Ada Fortenberry Moore; his wife, Janet in October 2000; his brothers, Wesley, Elijah, and Carlton; his sister, Mildred; his daughter, Pamela Michele; his son, Troy Wayne Moore in August 2013; his grandson, Michael Vaughn in December 2013.
