Eggville - W.C. DUB COOK, 76, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at his home in the Eggville Community. He was born to the late Walter and Bertha Smith Cook of Centerville. He served in the US Army in Alaska. He retired from Bay-Brite Lighting after 38 years and was also a cattle farmer for many years. He loved all his animals, especially his dog, Little Bit. He will be missed by his family, neighbors, and friends, especially his church family. He was a member of Mantachie Church of Christ.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Ministers Leon Willis and Larry Lott officiating. A private family entombment service will be in Lee Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Margie Estes Cook of Eggville; two sisters, Lillian (Lawson) Brown and Lanette Pollock of Mantachie; two special caregivers, his sisters-in-law, Maynor Blackburn and Mary Hallman; special friends, Annette Leslie and Barbara Malone.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Hoyle Cook.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, Greg Hallman, Chad Hallman, Chris Estes, Jason Estes, Josh Estes, Michael Draper, Rickey Thompson, Tony Thompson, Michael Baskett, and Chuck Kvasnicka.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Rud Robison, Harold Bishop, Ben Hardin, Billy West, Guy Harris and Murl Ford.
