VIRGIE E. JACKSON

Belden - Virgie E. Jackson, 95, died Friday, July 21, 2006, at Rosewood Residence after an extended illness. A Mississippi native, she was born July 4, 1911 to the late Samuel and Minerva Stacy Akers. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years and retired from North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a member of Barnes Crossing Baptist Church.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Frank Breaux and Rev. Willie Wimbs officiating. Burial will be in Fellowship Cemetery.

Survivors include a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eber Jackson; one daughter, Mary Ruth Jackson; four sisters, Mary Wimbs, Minnie Brown, Myrtie Miller, Alma Rose Akers; and one brother, Thomas Akers.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
