VIOLA S. WILSON
Water Valley - Viola S. Wilson, 88, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford after a lengthy illness. A Marshall County native, she was born October 10, 1921 to Jace and Fannie Lou Betts Wilson. She had lived a number of years in Verona and Water Valley. Retired after many years as a seamstress She worked with Rice Sticks Manufacturing in Water Valley and with Reed's Manufacturing while living in Verona. She was an avid animal lover and especially enjoyed taking care of her dog "Sparky". She was known for her wonderful sence of humor and the gift she had for making friends wherever she went. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery in Pontotoc County.
Survivors include one niece, Rose Jennings of Potts Camp, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mildred Wilson, and two brothers, Muldrew and J. E. Wilson.
Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
