VERNA LEE COLEMAN
TUPELO--Verna Lee "Babe" Coleman, 73, died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2006 at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a long illness. A native and long-time resident of Joliet, Il, she was born Sept. 7, 1932, to the late Cleotha and Alice Lattin Trice. She moved to Tupelo 10 years ago. She worked as a seamstress. She was a member of the Kimgdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed sewing for the public.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Johnnie Coleman of Tupelo; one daughter, Debbie Coleman of Tupelo; two sons, Jerry Coleman and Gene Coleman, both of Joliet, IL; one sister, Gloria Trice of Joliet, IL; one brother, Isaiah "Woody" Trice and wife, Patricia, of Greensboro, NC; special cousins, Ronald Trice, his wife Carmen Trice, and Renee and Adriann Trice, all of Joliet, IL.
