Verna Cayson

VERNA CAYSON Tupelo - Verna Mae Cayson, 78, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Sanctuary Hospice House after a brief illness. She was born December 8, 1933 in Fulton, Mississippi to Verlon and Ara Reich Wilson. Mrs. Verna made many life long friends as manager of Chateau Royale Apartments. Later she enjoyed working at Midnite Pottery making her rabbits and snowmen. She also enjoyed painting flowers and abstract art. Her life revolved around her family who where by her side with laughter and love during this brief illness. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues. Following the service, private graveside services for family members will be held at Crossroads Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Jennifer Hankins Shelton (J.Mark) of Tupelo; two sons, Dean Webb (Kristie) of Tupelo and Ronnie Clayton (Teresa) of Tupelo; one brother, Willie Wilson of Birmingham Ridge; seven grandchildren, Summer Rupert (Josh), Brandy Estes (Davy), Shawn Clayton, Cayson and Hayden Hankins all of Tupelo and Justin Webb (Brittany) of Brookhaven and Savannah Webb of Tupelo; three great-grandchilren, Clayton Rupert, Boston Estes and Evie Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Cayson; two sisters, Edna Woods and Mary Ellen Dunkin. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Justin Webb, Shawn Clayton, Cayson and Hayden Hankins, Josh Rupert and Davy Estes. Visitation will be 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sanctuary Hospice, PO Box 2177 Tupelo, MS 38803.
