Tupelo - Vera Bon Laney, 94, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Laney Green House at Traceway after an extended illness. A native of Goldsmith, Indiana, she was born November 1, 1913 to John and Lena Pyle. She was retired from Madden Furniture Manufacturer. She moved to Tupelo in 1981 after the death of her husband, George R. Boldon. She enjoyed sewing and was a member of First Christian Church of Tupelo.
Memorial Services for the family will be held at a later date in Tetersburg, Indiana.
W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Rita Cermack and husband, Jerry, of Tupelo; two grandchildren, Cheryl Tolbert and husband, Larry, of Memphis, Tenn. and Kerry Cermack and wife, Penny, of Tupelo; three great-grandchildren, Thomas Cermack, Bowen Cermack, and Sam Cermack.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Boldon and her second husband, William Bill Laney.
