VELMA E. (LYNA) SENTER
Fulton - Velma Evelyna (Lyna) Senter, 85, died Monday, August 21, 2006, at Daniel Health Care after an extended illness. A Fawngrove native, she was born May 28, 1921 to the late James Emmitt and Dessie Edna Farris McMillian. She had been a longtime resident of Verona and Tupelo for the past 45 years. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and her grandkids. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Verona.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Dr. David Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Daniel Reese Senter of Tupelo; one daughter, Teresa Senter of Tupelo; three sons, Danny Senter, and wife, Pam, of Nettleton; T.J. Senter and wife, Marilyn, of Longbeach, and Randy Senter and Renee, of Verona; five grandchildren, Daniel Senter and wife, Sonya, Sasha Senter, Brad Caldwell and wife, Beth, Bryan Senter and wife, Laura, Raine Turner; one great-grandchild, Emily Caldwell; four sisters, Sue Stillian, Ann Bridges, Lora Sudduth, and Judy Crumpton; three brothers, Guy McMillian, Junior McMillian, and David McMillian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lamoise Duvall, Turquoise Malone, and Faye Stillian; and two brothers, Lyndon McMillian and John McMillian.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
