SGT. TYLER PENNINGTON Saltillo - Andrew Tyler Pennington, 28, passed away Friday, April 3, 2015. A Tupelo native, he was born June 12, 1986, to Roy Fenton Pennington, Jr. and Penny Bishop Moran. A graduate of Saltillo High School, he then went on to the Marine Corps where he served his country for almost nine years. Tyler married Jena Higgins on June 25, 2006. Tyler enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and running. He loved his family and was a wonderful father who treasured the time he spent with his children. He was a member of Word of Life Church in Tupelo. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2015, at the Saltillo Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Tommy Galloway officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. Survivors include his wife, Jena Pennington of Saltillo; three children, Jaycee, Jaycob, Raylee Pennington and two boys expected in August; his mother, Penny Bishop Moran and step-father, Andy Moran both of Saltillo; his father, Roy Fenton Pennington, Jr. and step-mother, Cathy Pennington both of Texas; one sister, Amelia Roa of Saltillo; three brothers, Chris, Alex and Jason Pennington all of Texas; father-in-law, John Higgins and mother-in-law, Felicia Higgins of Guntown. He was preceded in death by one sister, Miranda Roa and his best friend, Cal McCary. Visitation will be 5 - 7 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015 at W. E. Pegues, Saltillo.
