TRENTICE "TRENT" PANNELL Tupelo - Trentice "Trent" Pannell, 76, passed away October 20, 2013, at the Traceway Manor, Green Houses, after an extended illness. A Lee County native, he was born May 31, 1937, to John Ed and Willie Snipes Pannell. A retired carpenter and painter, he spent most of his life in Tupelo. He was a very creative man with a passion for wood working and refurbishing all things made of wood. He enjoyed fishing and building. He was a charter member of Old Union Baptist Church. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Billy Langley officiating. Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery. He is survived by two daughters, Venetia Mallory (Jacob) and Derinda Reid (Frank) both of the Old Union Community; five grandchildren, Christopher and Lauren Mallory and William, Kaylan and Kristen Reid all of the Old Union Community. He was preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Dick Williams, Charles Frederick, Bill Frederick, Doug McCraw, Tony Carr and grandsons William Reid and Christopher Mallory. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
