Ballardsville " THOMAS TRAVIS GRAY, 65, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson after an extended illness. A native of Lee County, he was born April 7, 1942 to Evelyn Taylor Gray and the late James E. Gray. A graduate of Mooreville High School, he then attended Mississippi State University and the University of Mississippi. He was a U.S. Army veteran and alsoserved six years in the Army National Guard. He was a licensed bonding agent and active Tombigbee Electric Power Association Board of Directors member. He was a shriner and 32nd degree Mason. He served as a former Justice Court Judge and worked in the Appalachain Regional Commission Office under the administration of former Governor Bill Allain. He was a licensed real estate appraiser and Realtor. He loved people and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered as a giving individual who enjoyed serving and helping others. He was a member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Bert Harper officiating. Paul Crider will deliver the eulogy. Private burial will be in Ballardsville Family Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Emily Ballard Gray of Ballardsville; two daughters, Betsy Gray O'Neal and husband, James of Ballardsville and Anna Gray Nelson and husband, Reed, of Madison; his mother, Evelyn Gray of Mooreville; a sister, Jane Gray and Benita Carswell of Atlanta, Ga.; three grandchildren, Jay and Ben O'Neal of Ballardsville and Emily Aston Nelson of Madison; special family friend, Richardo McGaha of Tupelo

He was preceded in death by his father, James Etoile Gray; and his twin brother, James Troy Gray.
Pallbearers will be Larry Rainey, Paul Funderburk, Paul Crider, Steve Sheffield, Larry Harris and Brian Corbett
Honorary Pallbearers will be Toby Winston, Steve Hood, Owen Martin, Howard Wilson, Jimmy Marlin, Stan Fugate, Larry Shappley, and Eddie Jenkins.
Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
