Travis Edge

Saltillo - Travis Eugene Edge, 75, went home to be with the Lord after a brief illness on August 24, 2012 at the North Mississippi Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Shirley Sandlin Edge for 57 years and the beloved father to Garry (Sandra) Edge of Herriman, Utah, Mike (Gay) Edge of Collierville, Tennessee and Tim Edge of New York City, New York. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Amy (Russ) Bingham, Amanda Edge, Jennifer Edge, and Jeffrey Edge and two great grandchildren, Anna Claire Bingham and Riley Bingham.

Travis Edge served the Lord faithfully in many ways throughout his whole life. He loved his church, First Baptist, Saltillo, and served as deacon, treasurer, tech team member and on numerous committees. He was also an active member of the Saltillo Men?s Club, treasurer of the Lion?s Club and served as Saltillo Election Commissioner. He was retired from Hancock Fabrics after 37 years as district manager. He will be remembered by all that knew him for his kind spirit, his joyful smile and his keen sense of humor.
