Tracy McKinney

TUPELO - Tracy Wayne McKinney, 70, died Nov. 29, 2008, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born Nov. 16, 1938, to Samuel Jhue and Edith Louise Miller McKinney. He was a sales representative for Body Shop Supply and attended East Heights Baptist Church. He loved rebuilding old cars and was an avid member of the Street Rodders Association. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the W.E. Pegues Jefferson Street Chapel with Rev. Jay Thomason officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Chapel Cemetery. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors of Tupelo is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn Golden McKinney of Tupelo; two daughters, Donna Cook (Virgil) of Baldwyn and Pam Sanders (Hal) of Decatur, Ala.; one son, David McKinney (Becky) of Unity; seven grandchildren, Daniel McKinney and Melissa McKinney, both of Saltillo, Brandi Russell of Aberdeen, Shannon Loncar of Booneville, Lee Cook of Baldwyn and Joe Sanders and Ella Sanders, both of Decatur, Ala.; five great-grandchildren, Natalie McKinney of Unity, Kagen McKinney of Saltillo, Walter Russell and Rhiannon Russell, both of Aberdeen and Harmony Loncar of Booneville.

Pallbearers will be Billy Miles, Jon Strope, Herman Wilson, Loy Smith, Larry Golden and Jimmy Smith.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
