Tony Henry
BLUE SPRINGS - William Tony Henry, 58, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at his residence after an extended illness. He was born July 5, 1948, to the late K. K. and Lucille Tate Henry. He was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. He started in the furniture industry and later on went to work with the Daily Journal in Tupelo for several years. He enjoyed bailing hay and enjoyed the outdoors. Most of all he loved his family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand. Cooking out was one of his favorites and he enjoyed grilling form his family on all holidays. He loved his church and church family.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with the Rev. Lee Graham, the Rev. Eugene Gullett and the Rev. Wayne Gullett officiating. Burial will be in the Center Hill Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Linda Henry; one daughter, Melissa Rodgers (Danny); one son, Eric Henry (Ginger), all of Blue Springs; one sister, Teresa Gable (Reggie) of Ecru; one brother, Mack Henry (Nell) of Mooreville; four grandchildren, Peyton Henry, Josh, Cody and Jason Rodgers, all of Blue Springs; a special niece, Brook Gable and a special nephew, Isaac Gable, who looked to him as a Papaw; one nephew, Cory Gullett and one great-nephew, Casey Gullett, of Blue Springs; several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his mother-in-law, ONell Gullett.
Pallbearers will be Herbert Swords, Lavern Browning, Randy Burk, Jimmy Dale Lessell, Cory Gullett and Jim Young.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and continue Monday until service time at the funeral home.
