Tupelo - Tommy ?Ed? Millwood, 83, died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks after an extended illness. He was born December 7, 1928, to Wesco Thomas and Pearlie Adams Millwood. For many years he worked at Blue Bell Manufacturing as a supervisor, from which he retired. He enjoyed working in his yard and was a member of East Main Church of Christ.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues, with Bro. Darrell Beard officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Mary Nell Millwood; one daughter, Julie Long (Tony) of Saltillo; two grandchildren, Cody Long and Cole Long both of Saltillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother J. C. Millwood.
Pallbearers will be Jeff McGee, Gene McGee, Jason Kelly, Len Schaefer, Ricky Johnson and Harry Cowan.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Elders and Deacons of the East Main Street Church of Christ..
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 24, 2012 at the funeral home.
