THOMAS BEASLEY

Tupelo - Thomas Beasley, 77, died Friday, February 23, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was born April 11, 1929 in New Albany to the late Thomas Reuben and Marie O. McClellan Beasley. He had lived in Blue Springs earlier in life, moving to Tupelo as a teenager. He was a US Army veteran serving in Germany during the Korean Conflict. He worked as truck driver retiring after more than 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and playing dominoes with his wife. He was especially fond of his pet racoons, Bandit, Chatter Box, and Littlebit. When his health allowed, he attended Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Services will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Mark McMillen, Rev. Frank Cayson, and Rev. Don Reed officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Nell Westmoreland Beasley of Tupelo; three sons, Tommy Beasley, Sr. and wife, Faye, of Verona, Billy Beasley and wife, Shannon, and Jimmy Beasley, all of Tupelo; one step-son, Raymond Junior Davis and wife, Dianne, of Amory; one sister, Dorothy Tate of Tupelo; three brothers, Terry Beasley and wife, Larue, Bobby Beasley and wife, Dottie, and Larry Beasley and wife, Ann, all of Tupelo; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a step-son, Danny Davis; one brotherin-law, Burnel Tate.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Beasley, II, Matthew Beasley, Ben Beasley, cole Beasley, Jamie Burrows, and Ricky McCormick.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Beasley, III, Angel Beasley, Taylor Burrow, and his other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and will continue one hour prior to service time. Saturday.
