THETICE EVANS

Saltillo - THETICE EVANS, 85, died Monday, March 26, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a brief illness. A Marion County native, she was born September 18, 1921 to the late Robert and Mary Emma Hancock Barefoot. She was employed by Saddler Manufacturing as a government quality inspector for many years. She was an avid fan of the Fox News Channel. She was a member of Monument Drive Baptist Church.

Graveside Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tupelo Memorial Park with Rev. Ron McCully officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Oliver and Sue McCully and husband, Ron, all of Saltillo; one son, Robert Evans and wife, Mary, of Birmingham Ridge; six grandchildren, Danny Evans and wife, Christine, of Albuquerque, NM, Sandra Oliver and husband, Eugene of Saltillo, Wendy Williams and husband, Keith of Columbus, Michael Oliver of Memphis, Scott Oliver of Saltillo, and Matthew McCully and wife, Jade, of Savannah, Ga.; and eight great-grandchildren..

The last memeber of her immediate family, she was preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Mytice Robertson, two other sisters and four brothers, and her son-in-law, David Oliver.

Pallbearers will be Scott Oliver, Michael Oliver, Danny Evans, Eugene Oliver, Keith Williams, Sammy McCraw, and Matthew McCully.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
