Theodore McMinn, Jr.

TED MCMINN, JR. Mooreville - Theodore David McMinn, Jr., 73, died Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. He was born December 10, 1938 to Theodore David McMinn and Ovell Phillips in Jacksonville, Alabama. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo. He loved his family dearly and was well known for his knife making abilities. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor David MacKain officiating. Graveside services will be 4:00 p.m. at Cullman City Cemetery in Cullman, Alabama. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors will be in charge of the arrangements. His body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to church services. Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Linda Collins McMinn of Mooreville; one son, David McMinn III (Christi) of Cookeville, Tennessee; two brothers, Philip McMinn (Marilyn) of Elberta, Alabama and Doug McMinn (Teresa) of Clearview, Florida; five grandchildren, Joshua Morgan (Stacy) of San Diego, California, Jesse Thomas (Cassandra) of Tupelo, Elizabeth Keys (Jacob) of Mooreville, Sarah and Dave McMinn IV of Cookeville, Tennessee; four great-grandchildren, Emma, Georgia, AnnaBelle Morgan and Jake Keys. He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Laura McMinn and Beth LeAnne McMinn; one sister, Carolyn Rybarczyk. Pallbearers will be Joshua Morgan, Jesse Thomas, Dave McMinn and Jacob Keys. Honorary pallbearers will be his knife making buddies. Visitation will be 4:30 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at W.E. Pegues in Tupelo.
