THELMA ESTES Belden - Thelma Estes, 89, died Friday, August 16, 2013, at the North Mississippi Medical Center, Hospice. She was born October 27, 1923 to James Arthur and Sula Bell Robinson Fowler. She was a long-time dynamic active Christian and a member of Belden Baptist Church until her health declined. An industrious woman, she worked in various public positions while always maintaining a loving home for her family. She especially enjoyed being outdoors and working in her vegetable and flower gardens. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2013 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Carl Estes officiating. Burial will be in Lee Memorial Park. Survivors include her three children Paul Estes (Latona) of Belden, Rev. Carl Estes (Beverly) of Guntown, and Linda Enfinger of Belden; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Lorene Dye and Erma Estes of Belden. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; ten brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Allen Street, Jonathan and Joseph Estes, Neal and Floyd Enfinger and Dustin Whaley. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter and Clint Whaley. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
