Thais Lotz Fernandez, 99, passed away June 12, 2019. She was born January 22, 1920, to Louis Joseph and Louise Reab Lotz.
Affectionately known as "Nan", she is survived by her niece, Kathleen Terry of Tupelo; and nephews, Richard Schaefer (Jeannette) of Diamondhead and Mark Lotz (Jean) of Lacombe, Louisiana and their children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Lawrence Fernandez; sister, Christal Lotz Schaefer; and brother, Louis Lotz, Jr.
She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and lived there until hurricane Katrina forced her to evacuate to Ridgeland and more recently, Tupelo.
A private family service honoring her life will be held at a later date.
She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans.
