Verona - JAMES TERRY WEST, 46, died Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at his residence after a sudden illness. A lifelong resident of Verona, he was born February 3, 1963, in Tupelo to Linda Elaine Priddy West and the late Ray Mitchell West. He attended Verona Public Schools and graduated from Shannon High School in 1981. He worked at MTD products as a tow motor operator. He was a member of Verona United Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed cooking and working in the yard
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. John McAlister officiating. Burial will be in Verona City Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Wilson of Baldwyn; his mother, Linda West of Verona; and a brother, Steve West of Verona; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ray West who died Jan. 24, 2003; and grandparents, John and Myrtle Priddy and Frank and Saphronia West.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
