Tupelo - Timothy Jason Williams, 14, died Friday, July 25, 2008, at LeBonheur Children's Research Hospital. A Tupelo native, he was born July 24, 1994 to David and Alina Whitaker. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He liked to listen to music and he loved to sing. He enjoyed basketball and playing video games with his brother. He saved many other people by being an organ donor.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2008 at Jericho Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Hurt and Rev. David Eldridge officiating. Burial will be in Jericho Cemetery. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his parents, David and Alina Whitaker, two brothers, Matthew and Caleb Whitaker; two sisters, Abigale and Rylee Whitaker all of Tupelo; his grandparents, George and Betty Williams of Tupelo; his great grandmother, Edna Williams of Jericho; two uncles, Timothy A. Williams of Oxford and Jimmy Whitaker and his wife, Brandy, of Mooreville; one aunt, Kim Warthman and her husband, John, of Oxford.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Carl David Whitaker and his great grandfather, David Williams.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Whitaker, Jimmy Edge, Timothy A. Williams, John Warthman, Johnny Downs and Jackie Turner.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ryan and Sean Gaines.
Visitation will be 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the funeral home and will continue 2 p.m. Monday July 28, 2008 at the Jericho Baptist Church.
