AuburnSuzie Carter Miller, 44, died Monday, December 22,2008, at her residence in the Auburn Community after an extended illness. A Tupelo native and longtime resident of Lee County, she was born July 18, 1964, to Gerald and Martha Rodgers Carter. She worked as a supervisor for Reeds Manufacturing for many years and also worked as a supervisor for Wal-Mart for 12 years.
Services will be 4 p.m. Friday at the Saltillo Chapel of W.E. Pegues with Rev. Bobby Holland officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Kay Carter Bascom and husband, Charles Philip Bascom, of Tupelo; three sons, Jonathan Wade Carter and wife, Tonya Virl Carter of Tupelo, Ricky Allen Dial, Jr., and wife, Cassie Neely, of Saltillo, and Hunter Miller of Saltillo; three brothers, J.E. Carter of California, Joey Carter of Texas, and Mel Grosz, Jr., and wife, Jill, of Minnesota; her step-mother, Brenda Carter of Tupelo; her step sister, Enchantra Tootie Carter of Tupelo; her step-brother, Michael Carter of Tupelo; and four grandchildren, Makayla Aline Carter, William Patrick Dial, Hunter Blake West, and Angel Ray.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Melvin Grosz, Sr.; her sister, Angelique Carter; and her grandparents, Bernie May and Elvin Rodgers.
Visitation will be 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Saltillo Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
