SUSAN MCDONALD HUGHES Tupelo - Susan McDonald Hughes, 66, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at her residence after an extended illness. She was born May 21, 1948. Susan was a loving wife and mother who enojoyed cooking for her family. She also enjoyed riding mortorcycles, going to the beach and dancing. Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Bro. David Smith and Bro. Joey Hughes officiating. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include her husband; Tommy Hughes; one son; Christopher Hollaway (Cammie) of Tupelo; two daughters; Alice Ross and Amanda McDonald of Holly Springs; one step-daughter; Jeanna Gray (Chad) of Plantersville; two step-sons, Joey Hughes (Sarah) of Lexington, Tennessee, and Jason Hughes (Jodie) of Piqua, Ohio; one sister, Jan Kirchoffer of Jacksonville, Florida; four grandchildren, Hannah Harris (Jacob) of Starkville, George Ross of Tupelo, Samantha Hollaway of Tupelo, and Riley Ross of Tupelo; nine step-grandchildren; and one very special great-grandson, Jayden. She was preceded in death by her parents; Neal and Mary Alice Gilliam; and one brother, Dan Gilliam. Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
