Tupelo - Susan Furr Higgins, 42, died Sunday, June 21, 2009, at Communcity Hospice at Darlington Oaks after an extended illness. A Tupelo native, she was born February 16, 1967 to Donald Paul and Mary Ruth Sims Furr, Jr. She worked in Human Resources at Aircap/MTD Industries for 16 years. She enjoyed life and the time she spent with family and friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jason McAnally officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelsey Higgins and Lexie Higgins, both of the home; her mother Mary Ruth Furr of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Paul Furr, Jr. and a brother, Donal Paul Furr, III.
Pallbearers will be Kebby Hardin, Mark McLarty, Berry Jaggers, Marc Baily, Ted Moll, and Joe Compbell.
Honorary pallbearers will be John David Rodgers, Pat Rodgers, and Bobby Michael.
