SUNSHINE CRONE Bossier City, Louisiana - Dorthea Sunshine Crone, 92, went home to glory on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at the Heritage Manor of Bossier after an extended illness. "Sunshine" was born in Helena, Arkansas on September 14, 1922 to James Oscar and Floy Dedman Kimbrell, and grew up in Zwolle, Louisiana after moving there in 1928. She graduated from Zwolle High School, and later married Leonard A Crone on September 14, 1941; they were married for 62 years. Sunshine and Leonard had three children, Robert, James, and Debra. After their children were grown, Sunshine was able to travel with her husband in connection with his work. She had the opportunity to experience places such as Puerto Rico, Ireland, Tahiti, Hawaii, and numerous other locations. A memorial service honoring Sunshine's life will be held at Toledo Bend Lake, Zwolle Louisiana, on May 25, 2015. Sunshine is survived by three of her children, Robert L Crone of Tupelo, Mississippi, James Allen Crone of Shreveport, Louisiana and Debra Ann Crone Jones (Dennis) of Diamondhead, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Selena Davis (Brad) of Tupelo, Mississippi, Robert Crone (Gary Reich) of Annapolis, Maryland, and Tammy Tolbert (Stephen) of Leavenworth, Kansas; and four great-grandchildren, Megan and Kristen Davis of Tupelo, Mississippi, and Sean and Michael Tolbert of Leavenworth, Kansas; and one sister, Patsy Spears (Mack) of Tyler, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Crone; her parents, James Oscar and Floy Kimbrell; brother, James Oscar Kimbrell, Junior; sister, Frances Sampson; and sister, Alice Caples.
