TUPELO - Maggie Sue Cooper Long Skeoch, 89, died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born Dec. 4, 1917, in Ozark to Claude and Verna Cooper. She was married to Charles H. Long for 44 years and resided in Tupelo for over 50 years. In 1986 she was married to Gordon M. Skeoch and moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., where she resided until his death in 2007. She recently returned to Tupelo to be closer to her family, friends and her church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Tupelo First United Methodist Church. Visitation will follow the service in the church gathering room. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include three children, Mrs. Edward Cook (Patricia) of Palm Beach, Fla., and England, James Long (Sharon) of Tupelo and Claudette Campbell of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tupelo First United Methodist Church.
