Steve Robinson

June 20, 1957 — March 13, 2014

STEVE ROBINSON Verona - Stephen Randall Robinson, 56, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 13, 2014, at his home. He was born June 20, 1957, to Grady J. Robinson and Celester V. Robbins Robinson. An entrepreneur, he was a computer genius & electronic whiz. He owned many businesses where he fixed and sold computers, typewriters and could even run electrical lines. He had an amazing sense of humor and was an outstanding people person. One of his greatest achievements was celebrating thirteen years of sobriety thanks to all the help he received from AA. Because of this, he became a mentor and sponsor to many others in need of help. Most often he could be found fishing or playing his guitar. He was an avid LSU fan and supporter. He loved his family and friends and cherished his time spent with them, especially his precious child, Rhiannon, whom he affectionately called "Boo Boo". A celebration of his life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Jay Stanley and Rev. James Marks officiating. A graveside to follow at Tupelo Memorial Park. W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include one daughter, Kristil Rhiannon Robinson of Saltillo; three sisters, Sandy McMickin (Terry) of Tupelo, Emily Wilkerson (Gregg) of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Kim Cheney (Johnny) of Tupelo; his step-father, Bill Carter of Tupelo; two aunts, Shirley Pierce (Warren) of Saltillo and Leona Dieterlen (Carl) of Millington, Tennessee; five very special friends, Roy and Virginia Armstrong of Verona, Ashley Roberson (Cole) of Tupelo, Ted Day of Tishomingo, Chuck Mofitt of Tupelo and Chet Lane of Corpus Christi, Texas; the mother of his child, Tonya Joslin (Bobby) of Saltillo; numerous nieces and nephews and his many friends in AA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Celester V. Carter; his father, Grady J. Robinson and step-mother, Bettie Robinson. Pallbearers will be Tim Rouse, Chris Robbins, Chad Jaggers, Carl Shelton, Joey Bridges, Johnny Cheney and Bobby Joslin. Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at W.E. Pegues, Tupelo.
