Steve Reynolds

Tupelo—Steven Jeffery Reynolds passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the age of 66. He was born October 27, 1958, in Libertyville, Illinois to John Carl Reynolds and Joyce Joann Tackitt Reynolds. Steve returned to his Lee County roots in 1987 and worked primarily in the furniture industry as a frame builder. Before his health began to fail, he truly enjoyed the outdoors while hunting and fishing. Steve was also an avid NASCAR fan, but his greatest joy came from the cherished moments spent with family.

He leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Jeanine Morphis and their son, Steven Morphis of Tupelo; his sister, Holly Snyder (Rich) of Round Lake, Illinois; three brothers, Randy Reynolds (Sherry) of Pontotoc, Philip Reynolds of Belden, and Joseph Jones (Kim) of Phoenix, Arizona; and a host of extended family and kids he claimed as adopted grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jeffery Curtis Reynolds.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors.
