STEVE LANSDELL Eggville Community - Samuel Steven "Steve" Lansdell, 55, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014, at his residence. He was born July 30, 1958, in South Bend, Indiana, to James Woodston "J. W." and Charlene Gunter Lansdell. For over twenty-five years, he worked at Super Sagless until he became disabled. He attended Living Water Community Church. His passion was being outdoors, especially the beach. He also enjoyed cooking out. He loved his family and will be greatly missed. A celebration of his life will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Sammy Lansdell officiating. Survivors include two daughters, Christy Taylor and fiancé Paul of the Eggville Community and Jessica Stanford (Josh) of the Eggville Community; two granddaughters, Paige Taylor and Hadley Taylor; one grandson Drake Stanford; the mother of his children, Nina Lansdell of Saltillo; his father, J. W. Lansdell of Mooreville; his mother, Charlene Lansdell of Tupelo; three sisters, Mitzi Lansdell of Tupelo, Kim Dye (Greg) of Saltillo and Nancy Goodwin of Hattisburg; two brothers, Tony Lansdell of Mooreville and Jay Lansdell (Debbie) of Mooreville; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Y. L. Williams; his grandmother, Lavona Gunter. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at the funeral home, and will continue 12 noon until service time Saturday.
