STEVE JOHNSON Peacefull Valley - Steve Thomas Johnson, 56, died peacefully Sunday, November 30, 2014, at his home. On September 24, 1958, he was born to the late Joseph Ross and Zera Mae Butler Johnson. Steve was an avid hunter. He enjoyed riding his pontoon boat on the Tennessee Waterway with family and friends. He ran the greenhouse operation for Walton Greenhouses in Peacefull Valley for many years. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He loved his family especially his children and grandchildren. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Wexford Parmer officiating. Graveside services to follow at Andrew's Chapel Cemetery. Survivors include his companion of 25 years, Teresa Brown of Peacefull Valley Community; five children, Jeff Brown (Maggie) of Ecru, Richard Johnson, Gregory Johnson, Jennifer Brown and Trevor Almond all of Peacefull Valley Community; four grandchildren, Brandon Gray, Richard Johnson, II, Julie Brown and Caleb Brown; one brother, Joseph Alan Johnson of Mantachie; one sister Enita Mae Parker (David) of Saltillo and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Roy McCollum, Dale McGhee, Terry Green, Randy Hamm, Richard Johnson and Michael Powers. Visitation will be 12 - 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at W. E. Pegues, Tupelo.
