Steve Cayson

Mooreville " Steve Cayson, 52, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, in Mathiston while hunting. He was born July 29, 1957 to Burton and Laverne Cayson. He married Janet Lynn Walker on February 11, 2005 and they made their home in Mooreville. He was a member of the Eggville Freewill Baptist Church. He was a superintendent for Century Construction. He enjoyed hunting and was an active member of his hunting club for 20 years. He enjoyed taking care of his home, his family and his friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Carey Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Boguefala Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Janet Lynn Cayson; one daughter, Heather Renee Cayson; two sons, John David Cayson ( Ronni Gayle) and Brian Matthew Cayson all of Mooreville; three brothers, Robert Lee Cayson of Mooreville, Craig Clayton of Ecru and Jason Clayton (Tracy) of Tupelo; his parents, Laverne and Ray Clayton of Mooreville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Burton B. Cayson.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Harris, Jim Cayson, Donnie Christian, John Long, Paul Turner, Frankie Simpson, Craig Clayton, Jason Clayton, Heath Watson, Casey Cayson and Lee Cayson.

Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at the funeral home.
