Tupelo - Stephen Hank Lyles, 26, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at The North Mississippi Medical Center after an automobile accident in Mooreville. He was born September 28, 1984 in Tupelo to James and Sandy Sheffield Lyles. He attended Mooreville High School and grew up in the Grace Memorial Church in Skyline. And as an adult, he joined the Faith Baptist Church in Saltillo. He loved racing go carts, fishing, hunting and tinkering with vehicles. The joy of his life was his daughter, Makenna Kate.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 20, 2011 at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Kerry Nelson and William Weed officiating. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Makenna Kate Lyles and the mother of his child, Annacarmie of Saltillo; his parents, James and Sandy Lyles of the Auburn Community; four sisters, Mariann Lyles and Sha Lyles of Auburn, Sasha Wood (Scott) and Belinda Capps (Ralph) of Mooreville; two brothers, Jospeh Lyles of Auburn and James Lyles (Julie) of Abbeyville; his grandmother, Mamie Sheffield of Mooreville; five uncles and three aunts; seven nieces; one nephew; one great niece.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry Sheffield; his paternal grandparents, Zelma and Bonnie Lyles; great grandparents, Raymond and Mary Lou Cunningham.

Pallbearers will be Robert Mulligan, Bradley Mulligan, Blake Hood, Mikey Sheffield, Brandon Sheffield, Aaron Gillen, Kenneth Williams and Joshua Mulligan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lanny McCullough, Daniel Gillen, Johnny Otts, Will Francis, Daniel Marcy, Tim Bishop, Scotty Stults, Channing Upton and Bill "Daddy Bill" Bedford and his uncles, Gerald, Michael and Greg Sheffield

Visitation will be 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the funeral home.
