Saltillo-- Stephanie Carpenter Williams, 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Saltillo. She was born January 13, 1962, to Gerald Carpenter and Martha Smith Carpenter in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Animals held a special place in Stephanie’s heart, with horses reigning supreme. Another great love of Stephanie’s was flowers, and she dedicated her talents to the art of floristry for many years. In quiet moments, she also loved watching murder mysteries and “Little House on the Prairie.”
Above all else, Stephanie’s greatest treasure was her family. She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially doting on her grandchildren.
She leaves behind two daughters, Misty Scott (Chad Sartin) of Baldwyn and Amanda McElyea of Hunstville, Alabama; one son, Alex Williams (Victoria Herring) of Saltillo; three grandchildren, Madison Scott, Jaden Scott, and Reagan McElyea; one sister, Christi Carpenter Turnley (Mark) of Prosper, Texas; parents, Marty and Gerald Carpenter; and stepmother, Rosemary Carpenter.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Tye Carpenter.
