PONTOTOC " Stella Clark, 83, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, at her daughters residence in Pontotoc after a lengthy illness.
She was born to Dow Ramey and Dora Rhymes Ramey in McHaria, Texas, and had lived in Nettleton most of her life until moving to her daughters about eight years ago. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pentecostal Church. She loved working in her yard, growing her flowers, and spending special time with her grandchildren.
Services will be today at 3:30 p.m. in The Jefferson Street Chapel of W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will be in the Mullins Cemetery in Nettleton.
Survivors include two daughters, Sue Gilmore and her husband, Charles, of Nettleton, and Faye Patterson and her husband, Sammy, of Pontotoc; two brothers, M.C. Ramey and his wife, Betty Ann, of Texas, and Tilton Ramey of Severville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Jeffery Gilmore of Amory, Phillip Gilmore of Huntsville, Ala., Kim Perry of the Wren Community, Joey Patterson of Pontotoc, Shawn Patterson of Pontotoc, and Angie Brown of Pontotoc; 10 great-grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ruble Clark.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery Gilmore, Michah Gilmore, Phillip Gilmore, Joey Patterson, Shawn Patterson and Dalton Patterson.
