Sidney Edward Finney

SIDNEY FINNEY Tupelo - Sidney Edward Finney, 73, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2014 in Jackson. He was born March 1, 1940, to Sidney Finney and Fleeta Gamble in Tupelo. He lived in East Tupelo during his childhood and like to help his grandfather, Luther Gamble, work on cars and trucks. He was disabled. Private graveside services will be held at the Belmont Cemetery in Belmont, MS., where he will be buried beside his grandparents, Luther and Roxie Gamble. Survivors include one brother, Elvis Allred; one sister, Sandra Richey (Jerry); one aunt, Betty Thomas; cousins, Steve Tucker, Linda Roberts (Rick) and Marty Harlow; niece, Renee Hand; nephew, Randy Richey; and other nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Sidney Finney and Fleeta Allred and husband, Levi; his grandparents, Luther and Roxie Gamble; and one uncle, Doc Gamble. There will be no public visitation.
